Dental therapist

Luciana joined our team in August 2006.  She has qualified as a hygienist and therapist at the Eastmans Dental Hospital in 2003. Luciana is extremely thorough, precise and passionate about her work.  She has also trained to do the following treatments as a therapist:

- oral health education to individuals or groups
- taking alginate impressions for study models
-administration of dental analgaesia
- fillings involving all surfaces of teeth both in adults and children
- building up of broken down teeth provided they do not need pins
- extraction of deciduous teeth
- placement of stainless steel crowns on deciduous teeth
- vital and non-vital pulpotomies
- application of temporary fillings in an emergency
- application of prophylactic agents eg. fluoride varnish
- initial non-surgical treatment of periodontal disease.
