As a caring practice we take all necessary precautions to safeguard staff and patients against cross infection. We follow recommended guidelines with regards to the sterilization of instruments and use of disposable items.

Therapists are trained to do the following treatments:

- oral health education to individuals or groups
- taking alginate impressions for study models
-administration of dental analgaesia
- fillings involving all surfaces of teeth both in adults and children
- building up of broken down teeth provided they do not need pins
- extraction of deciduous teeth
- placement of stainless steel crowns on deciduous teeth
- vital and non-vital pulpotomies
- application of temporary fillings in an emergency
- application of prophylactic agents eg. flouride varnish
- initial non-surgical treatment of periodontal disease
