Shekha qualified from Guy’s King’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in 2005. Following multiple hospital jobs, she found her passion in promoting and maintaining good periodontal health through holistic and gentle management. She underwent a rigorous 4 year Masters program to become a registered specialist periodontist, graduating with Honours in 2012. Following this she worked part time at the Eastman in a specialist role for 3 years. She has taught on the MFDS and ORE Royal College courses and was an examiner for MJFD for 4 years.
Her enthusiasm for periodontics has led to her being on the Council of the BSP (British Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry) for 7 years (2012-2019) as the Commercial Liaisons Officer with an integral role in Conference organisation and general running of the society.
Since 2012, Shekha has been in private practice specialising in Periodontics and Implant work. She has excellent patient management skills and has the ability to put patients at ease with her kind, honest and gentle nature. She carries out all manner of periodontal and implant work, including both non surgical and surgical periodontal management- including bone regeneration, recession coverage.
